There are several factors that can affect the quality of night vision images, such as obstacles in front of the camera causing the night vision image to be too bright, or defects in the infrared sensor causing the image to be too dark. We have summarised the factors that lead to poor night vision image quality and their solutions, please check them:
- Clean the camera lens regularly. If the camera is installed outdoors, it can easily collect cobwebs, dust or water spots, all of which can cause the video image to become blurred. Please use a brush or small towel to clean the camera lens regularly.
- Avoid placing the camera too close to walls or lights. Installing the camera too close to walls or light sources can cause night light to be reflected and affect video image quality. You can move the camera away from these objects or turn off the infrared light.
- Image quality depends on the installation location. Typically, a camera’s night vision range is up to 9 metres at night. The camera will not be able to detect objects further than 9 metres from the camera.
